AMERLUX NAMES NEW V.P. OF PRODUCT MARKETING
Bill Plageman Brings Nearly Two Decades of Experience to New Role
FAIRFIELD, N.J., March 10, 2009 – Amerlux Lighting Solutions recently named Bill Plageman as the company’s new vice president of product marketing. Plageman has been with the company for more than five years, serving most recently as vice president of national specification sales for Amerlux.
“This is an exciting time in the architectural lighting industry as technology advances and an energy-savvy, image-conscious consumer drives the development of this field,” noted Chuck Campagna, president and CEO, Amerlux. “Bill has done an outstanding job for us in his prior roles, and we’re looking forward to applying his expertise and depth of knowledge to the opportunities that lie ahead both for Amerlux and our clients as he assumes his new responsibilities.”
Reporting directly to Campagna, Plageman will be the liaison between the Amerlux sales force and the lighting manufacturer’s product design group in order to enhance new product development and delivery opportunities. Plageman will also oversee the development of all product marketing materials and collateral, including literature, specification data, advertising and all related trade show materials.
Before joining Amerlux as director of specification sales, Plageman spent more than a decade with Lightolier, a division of the Genlyte Group, where he served as Regional Director of National Accounts. Plageman holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Cincinnati.
